You just never know! Earthquake tips that you should read!

Did you know that downtown Seattle is situated above an earthquake fault line? If you are living in the Seattle area, you are living in earthquake territory. Tips for earthquake safety:

1) The most important thing to know is that you should get yourself into a fetal position NEXT TO a large object such as a sofa. The large object will compress a little bit, but it is likely that next to it enough space will remain for you.

2) If you go UNDERNEATH an object such as a table, you might get crushed. Your odds of survival are not as good as when you are next to a large object.

3) Do not seek cover on stairs. They are likely to collapse, leaving you very vulnerable to injury.
